UA Uniforms Through the Years

In 1971 the iconic red, white and blue plaid was introduced. Hope Evans Verhalen, '48,  designed the plaid for her alma mater. Mrs. Verhalen was a celebrated designer having garnered many accolades from the fashion industry for her designs. The plaid skirt was worn with white blouse, socks and saddle oxfords. A blue blazer with white embroidered emblem were added for formal occasions.
